Details: This vacancy is for an Assistant Director, Contract Management (SOG C) within the Housing Delivery Division, Infrastructure Canberra (ACT Government). The role provides leadership and oversight of the Total Facilities Management (TFM) Services Agreement. It is responsible for contract governance, performance oversight, financial management and reporting, risk and compliance, and ensuring service providers meet agreed contractual and legislative requirements.
The role also manages and coordinates secretariat functions for key governance forums, supporting sound decision-making, accurate records, and executive-level reporting.
The position works closely with directors, senior executives, and external service providers to oversee performance reviews, manage contractual variations and financial impacts, address risks and issues, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery. It requires strong commercial and financial judgement, advanced contract management expertise, and the ability to operate independently in a complex, high-accountability government environment consistent with SOG C responsibilities.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of three months with the possibility of extension up to six months. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only.
Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. This position is in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
