About Our Patient Transport Officer Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Transport Officer. As a key member of our transport team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of patients with various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform thorough patient assessments and interventions during transit
* Provide exceptional patient care and treatment during on-road transport
* Develop strong working relationships with patients and stakeholders
* Work independently and exercise problem-solving skills within established policies and procedures
* Collaborate effectively with other team members
To Be Successful, You Will Need:
* A minimum qualification of Cert III in Non-Emergency Patient Care, Diploma of Nursing, or equivalent
* Availability to work 10 and 12-hour shifts across 7 days
* Ability to drive safely in both city and country traffic conditions
* Compassionate, professional, and dedicated approach to providing excellent service
* Experience working in the non-emergency patient transport sector is desirable but not essential
* Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Full Driver's Licence, State driver history report, Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and right to work in Australia
