Job Description
The Digital Capability and Support Officer is responsible for ensuring the accurate application of digital resources in the online learning environment and providing frontline technical support across NPIs learning ecosystem. The role will maintain digital capability by supporting technology used in delivery of courses and provide quality assurance support for digital materials in line with established style guides and templates. Working closely with the Team Leader Learning Ecosystems, the role will collaborate with academic staff in ensuring that each online class space is updated and ready on time each trimester. Essential to course delivery, the digital capability support officer will work within a team to plan and deliver professional development and training programs and support services across the College to build digital capability in line with the Learning and Teaching Plan and to ensure students have digitally rich learning experiences.
This is a full-time fixed term role for 12 months (October 2026).
Location is versatile. The successful applicant could be based at one of our campuses: Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.
Responsibilities
- Apply accurate digital resources in the online learning environment and provide frontline technical support across the learning ecosystem.
- Maintain digital capability by supporting technology used in delivery of courses and provide quality assurance for digital materials in line with style guides and templates.
- Collaborate with academic staff to ensure each online class space is updated and ready on time each trimester.
- Plan and deliver career development and training programs to build digital capability in line with the Learning and Teaching Plan.
- Support services across the College to ensure students have digitally rich learning experiences.
Qualifications
- An appropriate qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Customer focused with an understanding that both internal and external customers require you to meet their needs in a professional and understanding manner
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including an understanding of system structures and systems
- Practical experience supporting educational materials and communications to build digital capability in utilising technology in teaching, learning and assessment
- Demonstrated expertise in the delivery of training and professional development workshops and consultations
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a team and providing support and guidance to manage critical and competing priorities in a highly dynamic and flexible environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience using learning management systems (LMS) - e.g. Moodle, BlackBoard, Canvas
- Proven experience in supporting the implementation of and roll-out of new technologies
