Occupational Health and Safety Professional Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Professional to join our team.

This is a challenging role that involves championing safe work practices across all areas of the business, providing guidance and support to teams, and working closely with management and employees to embed risk management and accountability into everyday operations.

* Facilitate effective consultation processes to capture and resolve safety issues.
* Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
* Support incident reporting and investigation processes by guiding leaders through timely reporting, root-cause analysis, corrective actions and learnings.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen safety maturity and operational reliability.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented controls and recommend adjustments as required.
* Review subcontractor SWMS and monitor their performance against requirements.
* Monitor contractor HSE performance ensuring compliance with company standards and contractual obligations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation, regulations and relevant standards, and be able to interpret and apply these in a practical, business-focused way. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, influence and coach employees, supervisors and managers at all levels.

This is a part-time role (3 days per week), with flexibility to work additional hours as required, and reports directly into the Executive Team. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being at the centre of operational action.

* Diploma or a tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or a related discipline.
* 3–5 years' experience providing safety support across multiple sites or regions, ideally in a mix of warehouse, manufacturing, logistics and project-based environments.
* Demonstrated experience developing, implementing or improving a Safety Management System, including procedures, risk controls, and reporting processes.
* Solid working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, regulations and relevant standards.
* Proven ability to engage, influence and coach employees, supervisors and managers at all levels.
