The business is driven by innovation and supported by a large workforce of engineers and scientists, maintaining a strong focus on quality, delivery, value, and technological excellence across all of its products and services.Your new roleThis is a 6‐month contract opportunity where you will join a team of software engineers responsible for enhancing and maintaining an enterprise Video Management System used internationally. Your work will cover the full software development lifecycle, applying agile methodologies to deliver product improvements. You will collaborate with colleagues across development, user experience, testing, and quality functions, while also providing responsive support to customers and contributing to process compliance and defect resolution.What you'll need to succeedStrong background in developing customer-facing applications using the modern .NET web stackProficiency in C#, ASP.NET, SQL/T-SQL, and the MVVM patternExperience building web applications with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks or vanilla implementationsSolid grasp of SOLID principles and test-driven development practicesAbility to design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutionsBeneficial experience with large-scale front-end applications using KnockoutJS or TypescriptFamiliarity with web media processing technologies such as WebAssembly, WebCodecs, WebAudio, MediaSource Extensions (MSE), and WebWorkersSkills in profiling and optimising high-performance codeExperience working within agile delivery environmentsRelevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalentStrong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative and proactive approachEffective communication skills and attention to detailWhat you'll get in returnYou will gain valuable experience working on globally deployed enterprise software within a forward-thinking organisation.
