About the Role
The Senior Integration Engineer role is critical in leading the design, development and enhancement of data integration solutions within an Agile delivery framework that enables the secure and efficient exchange of information between different and complex systems. The Senior Integration Engineer combines diverse technical expertise with solid business acumen to ensure the successful integration of new systems into existing infrastructure. The Senior Integration Engineer leverages a deep understanding of cross-platform expertise and works in close partnership with cross-functional teams, business users to ensure design and implement integration solutions that align strategies with the University's goals and seamlessly connect diverse systems, databases, and applications, ensuring data accuracy, security and real-time synchronisation. This role provides technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced engineers and other team members.
About You
As the Senior Integration Engineer, you will have:
* Mandatory: Demonstrated experience designing, developing and supporting integration solutions using Boomi in complex enterprise environments.
* Lead the development, testing, and deployment of integration solutions using appropriate technologies and tools.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate their needs and provide technical guidance on integration options and feasibility.
* Lead the design of comprehensive integration solutions that align with business needs and enable seamless data synchronisation between disparate systems.
* Provide technical leadership by investigating and addressing complex technical issues arising during integration programs of work to ensure optimal system performance.
* Create detailed documentation of integration solutions, architecture, and processes to facilitate future maintenance and upgrades.
* Conduct peer review of other integration engineers' development efforts to ensure consistent methodologies are followed and to make recommendations where necessary.
* Collaborate with ITU teams to ensure that the integration activities are in line with the design and specification requirements.
* Identify opportunities to enhance integration efficiency, optimise data flow, and reduce latency for improved user experiences.
* Maintaining effective communication channels within the organisation to better manage outages and system activities including contributing to issues and sharing information.
* Carrying out workflow strategies that will position the organisation to effectively manage the implementation and support of workflow.
* Lead technical resolution of issues that arise during integration process or as part of BAU.
* Identify and report status, risks, issues and resolutions to the Integration Chapter Lead and/or Platform Operations Manager.
* Implement and adhere to cybersecurity best practices and data privacy regulations in all integration efforts, safeguarding sensitive information.
* Assess scalability needs and plan for expansion, making recommendations to ensure that integration solutions can accommodate the University's growth and are aligned to University strategy.
* Direct, support and mentor more junior team members as required, fostering their technical growth and development, and encouraging an environment of open communication and idea-sharing.
* Responsible, and at times accountable, for maintaining and enhancing the cybersecurity controls appropriate for their area and working with the cybersecurity team to be aware of the cyber threats to UTS.
Remuneration and benefits
Base Salary Range: $143,080- $149,894 (HEW 9)
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
