Career Overview:
The Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. This role provides coverage for various administrative positions in offices of the board, elementary and secondary schools.
About the Role
This Casual position involves providing administrative support, reception duties, data entry tasks, basic accounting, and other responsibilities as assigned. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Perform reception duties
- Update and maintain databases
- Assist with budget records
- Process student attendance information
- Use a variety of computer software
- Provide administrative support
Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent education and experience deemed equivalent by the Board is a requirement
- 1-3 years of experience working in an office environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of student information
