About The Role
We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Construction Project Manager to lead our capital works programme—overseeing planning, execution, and successful delivery of retail construction and remodel projects. In this leadership role, you'll manage multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to high standards of quality. Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage and implement the capital works program for new restaurants, redevelopments, and relocations.
* Lead and oversee direct reports, ensuring consistency in project management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
* Develop and control project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.
* Conduct pre-construction planning to meet cost and timing objectives.
* Manage consultants and contractors for design, approvals, tenders, and signage.
* Coordinate with internal teams (real estate, design, operations) and external partners (architects, engineers, contractors) to ensure project alignment with brand standards and operational needs.
* Handle bidding, negotiations, and contracts with general contractors and vendors.
* Visit sites regularly to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
* Explore innovative designs, methods, and materials to enhance property value and operational efficiency.
* Maintain knowledge of current OH&S standards.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively.
* Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership.
About You
* Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.
* Trade qualifications with proven project management experience.
* 8+ years of construction project management experience, especially in retail environments.
* Successful track record of delivering multi-site retail projects on time and within budget.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
* Ability to review technical designs and planning decisions critically.
* Advanced knowledge of building practices, estimating, tendering, and contract administration.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet).
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
