Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing, the Strategic Sourcing Manager (internally, known as Sourcing Business Partner) is a key role within AustralianSuper’s Third Party Governance & Sourcing team. You’ll lead large‑scale, complex sourcing initiatives that support major strategic transformation programs and deliver measurable commercial outcomes. Working at pace in a dynamic, evolving environment, you’ll partner closely with stakeholders across the Fund, acting as a trusted commercial advisor to shape sourcing strategies, manage risk, and strengthen long‑term supplier relationships; all in service of improving member outcomes. What You’ll Do Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale, complex sourcing initiatives across strategic programs, including market engagement, RFx processes, negotiation, contract execution and measurable commercial outcomes. Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies aligned to business objectives, budgets, risk appetite and diverse spend profiles. Drive strong contract and supplier management practices, including lifecycle management, renewals, extensions, dispute resolution and ongoing commercial issue management. Partner with stakeholders across the Fund to understand demand, influence sourcing pathways and build a robust pipeline of sourcing opportunities. Support third‑party governance by identifying and mitigating supplier and supply chain risks while strengthening vendor and commercial capability across the organisation. What You’ll Need Extensive experience delivering large‑scale, complex sourcing initiatives with strong commercial and negotiation outcomes. Deep expertise across source‑to‑contract, category management, contract law and supplier management. Proven ability to operate as a trusted business partner, influencing senior stakeholders in complex, regulated environments. Experience supporting major transformation programs and navigating ambiguity and evolving requirements. Strong analytical, problem‑solving and commercial judgement skills, underpinned by clear written and verbal communication. Regulated industry experience (financial services or superannuation highly regarded). Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Commerce, Procurement, IT or a related discipline (desirable).
