Senior Youth Peer Support Worker
SUPPORT YOUNG PEOPLE IN THEIR MENTAL HEALTH JOURNEY
About the Role:
The Senior Youth Peer Support Worker provides leadership and support to ensure best practice in peer support within a recovery-oriented framework. This role requires experience working as a Consumer Peer Support Worker, particularly in the youth sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide mentorship and guidance to Youth Peer Support Workers
* Maintain group and individual peer support for young people at headspace Early Psychosis
* Ensure consistency in peer support within a recovery-oriented framework
Requirements:
* Lived experience of psychosis or complex mental health challenges as a young person
* Experience working as a Consumer Peer Support Worker (minimum 2-3 years)
* Knowledge of peer principles and ability to support people from a mutual perspective
* Australian working rights and current Influenza vaccination
* Current Victorian Driver License and Working with Children Check
