This position is a great opportunity to join a growing NDIS provider in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, specialising in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Respite Accommodation (MTA/STA).
What makes this organisation genuinely distinctive is their model of culturally and linguistically aligned care. In each of their homes, participants and carers share the same language and cultural background. No interpreter required. No cultural guesswork. Participants eat food from their native cuisine, watch familiar television, hear familiar music, and receive care in a language that feels natural — because it is.
They currently support participants from Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, Spanish, Indonesian, Korean, Italian, and many other backgrounds. Their homes don't just provide care — they provide belonging.
The Opportunity
As SIL Manager, you will take ownership of daily operations across their SIL homes — leading a care team, maintaining rigorous compliance and documentation standards, and ensuring every participant receives support that genuinely aligns with their goals and NDIS SIL plan.
This is a role for someone who moves comfortably between the operational and the human — who can hold a team accountable to high standards while never losing sight of the individual person at the centre of every care plan.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Management — Oversee day-to-day operations across SIL homes, ensuring smooth service delivery and consistent participant satisfaction.
* Person-Centred Practice — Implement NDIS care plans, support families, and collaborate with local providers — keeping individual participant goals at the centre of every decision.
* Team Leadership — Coach, mentor and develop your care team to deliver high-quality, culturally aligned support. You set the standard.
* Compliance & Reporting — Complete weekly dashboard reports, manage incident reviews, and ensure all documentation meets NDIS Quality and Safeguarding requirements.
* Onboarding & Training — Lead effective orientation and training for new staff, building a team that is engaged, capable, and genuinely aligned with the organisation's values.
* Stakeholder Engagement — Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, carers, support coordinators, and allied health professionals.
* Roster & Administration — Manage rosters, appointments, and correspondence with the organisational discipline this level of care demands.
Requirements
What You Bring
* Solid NDIS experience, particularly within Supported Independent Living and Quality & Safeguarding frameworks
* Proven leadership of care teams — you know how to build trust, hold standards, and develop people
* High-intensity care expertise: behavioural support plans, restrictive practices, manual handling, and medication management
* Exceptional documentation and reporting discipline — your records are accurate, timely, and audit-ready
* Cultural competency — ideally including lived experience of the communities this organisation serves
* The capacity to hold complexity: operational demands, compliance requirements, and genuine human care, all at once
Applications are welcome from experienced SIL Managers, Team Leaders, House Managers, Support Coordinators, Service Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurses, and Behavioural Support Practitioners with a genuine track record in disability support.
Candidates who share a language and cultural background with the communities served are particularly encouraged to apply.
What's on Offer
* Competitive salary commensurate with experience and leadership level
* Genuine opportunities for accelerated career development in a growing organisation
* A workplace where cultural diversity is a structural strength, not a stated value
* The chance to lead homes that participants genuinely experience as home
