About the role
We are recruiting for a Production Chemist to join our client in Brisbane, Queensland on a contract basis. As a Production Chemist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of the company's oil and gas production processes. This is a critical role in supporting the ongoing success and growth of the business.
What you'll be doing
* Conducting regular testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediate products, and final products to ensure they meet required specifications
* Identifying and troubleshooting any issues with the production process and implementing corrective actions
* Developing and optimising production methods and procedures to improve efficiency and product quality
* Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all testing, analysis, and process improvements
* Collaborating with the production team to provide technical guidance and support
* Ensuring all operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Production Chemist or similar role in the oil and gas industry
* Proven ability to analyse complex data and interpret results to drive process improvements
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly
* Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
