Our busy specialist Ophthalmology practices provide an excellent standard of patient care for both ongoing treatment and emergency surgical intervention.
We are seeking a motivated and flexible individual to provide medical reception and secretarial support commencing in January ****.
This is a 9-month parental leave contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.
The position involves working across both of our clinics, located north and south of the river.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will be well presented and possess a highly motivated and strong work ethic, together with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Oculoplastics would be preferred however candidates with previous medical reception or secretarial experience will be considered.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Flexibility with working hours is essential.
Front desk greeting and arrival of patients and visitors to the clinic in a bright and friendly manner.
Booking patients for day surgery, health fund quotes for surgery.
Make appointments, maintain diary, invoice and receive fees.
Answer phone calls promptly and transfer calls as appropriate.
Assist with general enquiries.
Skills and experience
Experience with private health funds will be well regarded.
Ability to adapt within a fast-paced professional environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to high level customer service.
Outstanding phone manner and communication skills.
Previous experience within a specialist practice is desirable.
