Location: Miruma Diversionary Support Program located in Cessnock

Hourly Rate: Casual Rate $38.19
Your role:
Looking to make a positive impact for the community and be part of a crucial support centre focused on improving offenders' reintegration into the community? An exciting opportunity exists within the Miruma Diversionary Program, located in Cessnock (Hunter region).
We are seeking energetic, passionate, and dedicated individuals to provide key support and assistance to residents at the Centre. You will be part of effectively and efficiently implementing the aims and objectives of the Program to these residents as they focus on their successful reintegration into the community.
What you'll do:
This role will include supervising and monitoring the residents to ensure compliance, following of rules, and assisting residents to further develop the living skills required for community living.

Your main responsibilities will include:
* Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the Casual Residential Centre Assistant role description.
* Support individual case plans and maintain residents' records
* Mentor, support and assist residents to develop the living skills required for independent living in the community
* Transport residents to and from external venues
* Resolve critical situations relating to the health and wellbeing of residents
You will have the following key values:
* Follow and value honest and ethical practices within a work environment
* Enjoy working with people and thrive on supporting others
* Excellent communication and motivational skills
* Experience in social welfare is desirable
* Experience working with woman is highly desirable
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Demonstrated computer skills
Qualifications Required:
* Current Drivers Licence and preparedness to drive a motor vehicle as part of the role.
* Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one within 3 months of commencing employment.
