About The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Women's and Babies Division team as a Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse/Midwife, where you will be responsible for:
* Delivering direct, person-centered nursing and/or midwifery care, assessing patient needs and coordinating appropriate services with increasing autonomy over time.
* Planning and managing individual patient care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure holistic health outcomes.
* Leading shift-based ward or team coordination, supporting staff and ensuring smooth, safe patient care delivery.
* Engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, minimize risks, and promote a safe work environment.
* Providing health education and professional support, mentoring students, new staff, and graduates to foster ongoing learning and development.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding or eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.
* Minimum of 18 months post Midwifery registration experience.
* Demonstrated competence and experience in delivering safe, high-quality nursing/midwifery care aligned with national safety and quality standards.
* Strong communication skills including problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.
* Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and prioritize workload efficiently.
* Commitment to consumer and family-centered care, ethical conduct, diversity, and workplace health and safety principles.
* Innovative, flexible approach to healthcare challenges with a focus on quality management and risk mitigation.
