About the Role
We're excited to offer two Project Manager opportunities within our growing Project Delivery Branch. We're looking for motivated professionals ready to take on meaningful, community‐shaping work across the Sunshine Coast region. One role sits within our Urban Projects team, delivering capital works that enhance liveability, public spaces and urban environments. The other sits within our Civil Projects team, focused on delivering essential civil infrastructure that supports connectivity, growth and long‐term resilience.
If you're an experienced project manager who thrives on collaboration, complexity and creating positive outcomes for the community, we'd love to hear from you.
In these roles, you will:
* Lead the delivery of high‐priority capital works projects that shape the future of the Sunshine Coast.
* Drive momentum across planning, design, procurement and construction to keep projects on track and on budget.
* Bring people together — coordinating internal specialists, external consultants and contractors to deliver seamless outcomes.
* Own the detail by managing scope, risks, timelines and reporting with clarity and confidence.
* Champion quality through strong contract management, supplier engagement and best‐practice project controls.
* Communicate with influence, ensuring stakeholders stay informed, aligned and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
* Solve problems fast, using your technical and analytical skills to cut through complexity and keep delivery moving.
* Elevate our systems, contributing ideas that strengthen project delivery processes, tools and standards.
* Lead with safety, upholding WHS requirements and embedding safe work behaviours across every project site.
About you
You're a strong communicator, a natural problem‐solver and someone who thrives in fast‐moving, unstructured environments. You bring the technical skills, the leadership mindset and the adaptability needed to deliver great outcomes across diverse projects.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Planning or similar, plus solid project delivery experience.
* Proven experience in infrastructure planning, design and construction management.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to turn complexity into clear action.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills across all levels and disciplines.
* Leadership capability — able to guide teams, contractors and consultants effectively.
* Sharp resource planning skills to ensure best‐value project outcomes.
* Current C‐class driver's licence and Queensland White Card.
