Offer description

We have partnered with a highly regarded Western Australian not-for-profit organisation to recruit an experienced Business Systems Manager to join their Technology Services team. Our client is one of Western Australia's most respected care organisations, supporting thousands of people living with disability, aged care needs, and acquired brain injuries - and this role sits at the heart of enabling that mission through technology. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will lead the governance, configuration, and delivery of core business systems and business intelligence reporting services. You'll manage a small team, engage with senior stakeholders across the organisation, and play a key role in an enterprise-wide systems transformation. This is a broad, senior role suited to a confident leader who is equally comfortable shaping strategy, navigating complexity, and rolling up their sleeves on delivery. You'll enjoy a flexible hybrid work model, a collaborative and values‐driven culture, and the genuine rewards of working for an organisation that puts people first - including not-for-profit salary packaging benefits.

Please note: to be considered for this role you must be based in Perth, Western Australia, and be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to and maintain our client's IT strategy and roadmap, ensuring initiatives are prioritised in line with organisational goals and risk appetite.
* Lead and embed IT Service Management processes, including Incident, Change, Problem, and Configuration Management across business intelligence and application services.
* Oversee configuration, delivery, and reporting of business intelligence and core business systems for the organisation and clients.
* Drive performance and continuous improvement through Objectives & Key Results for department team members.
* Represent Technology Services in project steering committees, working groups, and forums.
* Lead and develop the Technology Services Team in line with the organisation's policies, procedures, and values.
* Develop and implement governance frameworks, policies, controls, and processes across people, process, and technology.
* Maintain asset and information registers for repositories, reporting services, SaaS/cloud platforms, applications, and business systems.
* Strengthen Information & Cyber Security by embedding a zero‐trust security mindset and protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organisation's systems and data.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure Technology Services delivers expertise, capacity, and support for organisational needs.
* Manage external vendors and partners to ensure delivery of services and beneficial supply.
* Oversee vendor contracts to ensure obligations are met throughout the contract term.
* Participate in annual budget planning and manage operational and capital expenditure within budget.
* Develop and report on training and development plans for the team, tracking progress against Technology Services goals.
* Champion a positive, inclusive, and values‐driven culture within the Technology Services team, aligned to the organisation's values and behaviours.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (highly desirable).
Eligibility Criteria
* Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months.
Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated leadership experience in organisations of comparable size and complexity, with a proven track record of guiding diverse, customer‐focused teams towards achieving goals aligned with organisational purpose, values, and strategy.
* Deep understanding of applications, business systems, and business intelligence reporting environments.
* Experienced in conceptualising and implementing agile, responsive business intelligence reporting and application service strategies that cater to business needs, boost efficiency, and improve information accessibility.
* Excellent analytical, problem‐solving, and decision support skills, enabling effective solutions to complex challenges.
* Superior negotiation and conflict resolution abilities, paired with high emotional intelligence and empathy.
* Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong ability to liaise, consult, and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to foster successful relationships and deliver desired outcomes.
* A solution‐focused mindset, with motivation to enhance efficiencies and results. Capable of organising and prioritising tasks, thriving under pressure, meeting deadlines, and demonstrating initiative in priority setting, goal achievement, and time management.
* Previous experience within Residential and Community Aged Care, Retirement Villages, and/or Disability Service industry is considered an advantage.
