Job Description
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of end-to-end payroll processing while ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies. You will play a critical role in maintaining payroll integrity, supporting employees, and collaborating across Finance and People Culture teams.
- End-to-end payroll processing, including regular, off‐cycle, and termination payments
- Accurate calculation of salaries, wages, overtime, allowances, and deductions
- Processing of bonuses, back payments, and complex termination calculations
- Ensuring compliance with tax, superannuation, and industrial relations obligations
- Award interpretation and management of complex payroll scenarios
- Payroll reconciliations (PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, WorkCover)
- Month‐end reporting, journals, and payroll‐related financial analysis
- Maintaining accurate employee and payroll records within Workday
- Supporting audits, STP reporting, and year‐end processes
- Acting as a key point of contact for payroll queries across the business
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of Fair Work legislation, superannuation, and payroll tax
- Ability to interpret modern awards and manage complex payroll scenarios
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
