The Role
The Debt Recovery Team Manager will lead and develop a team of debt recovery specialists to achieve collection goals. The role involves managing day-to-day debt recovery operations and processes.
Responsibilities
* Improve debt recovery processes by updating and monitoring policies, manuals, and procedures to ensure compliance and excellent customer experience.
* Gather documentation for external partners.
* Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the debt recovery team.
* Handle customer payment difficulties with sensitivity and tact.
* Maintain detailed records of interactions, contact details, and debt recovery activities.
* Suggest system or process improvements to increase efficiency.
* Present weekly debt recovery data.
* Manage partner relationships (e.g., collection agencies, outsourced reminder partners).
* Assist with launching new debt recovery projects, including testing and execution.
* Train, mentor, and manage team members.
* Participate in audits related to debt recovery information.
* Allocate tasks to meet efficiency and compliance targets.
* Assist with daily debt recovery duties as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned within your skills and abilities.
