Landscaping Maintenance Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Landscaping Maintenance Specialist. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the resort grounds in pristine condition, ensuring they are safe, clean, and visually appealing throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hedge and Tree Trimming: Maintain the resort's hedges and trees through regular pruning and trimming to ensure they remain healthy and aesthetically pleasing.
* Mowing, Edging & Whipper Snipping: Utilize various mowing equipment to maintain the resort's grassy areas, including ride-on mowers, push mowers, and whipper snippers to achieve precise edges and neat finishes.
* Control Weeds and Pests: Apply herbicides and other control methods to eliminate weeds and pests that may damage the resort's plants and turf.
* Raking and Blowing Leaves, Pruning and Disposing of Dying Vegetation: Remove dead leaves and debris from the resort's grounds, prune dying vegetation, and dispose of it properly to maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Planting, Mulching, and Maintaining Flowers and Shrubs: Plant new flowers and shrubs, mulch existing ones, and maintain their health through watering and irrigation system maintenance.
* Oversee Outdoor Presentation of All Facilities: Ensure the outdoor areas of all facilities, including BBQ and pool areas, are well-maintained and presented in an attractive manner.
* Ensure Mechanical Equipment and Tools Are Kept in Good Working Order: Regularly inspect and maintain mechanical equipment and tools to ensure they remain in good working condition.
Requirements:
* National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain (Required)
* Relevant Gardening Experience in a similar role
* Cert III Horticulture Qualification, or equivalent is advantageous
* ACDC Chemical Licence, is advantageous
* Ability to Use Equipment such as push mower, ride on mower, hedge trimmer, whipper snipper and blower
* Possess Physical Ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying
* Initiative and Ability to Work with Limited Supervision
