About Us

PCLS have regional offices in Karratha, Roebourne, South Hedland, and Newman. We offer a range of services including:

About the Opportunity

We have a vacancy, based in our Newman office. This position is part-time, 9 days per fortnight or 34.2 hours per week.

The Housing Support Program is designed to address housing related needs and challenges for individuals and families. The program aims to provide support to clients through any stage of homelessness, assisting with applying, securing, and maintaining long term accommodation. Whilst working with government agencies, and other community service providers, the program focuses on providing holistic protective measures and practices. This is achieved through referrals and the delivery of information, to case manage clients to achieve long term sustainable housing.

Essential Criteria:

1. A strong commitment to social justice and community engagement

2. High-level, interpersonal and written communication skills.

3. Demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.

4. Adhere to ethical, privacy and confidentiality standards

5. Maintain accurate data management

6. Current Australian driver's license and Australian Working Rights.

7. Able to travel to remote areas to deliver services to clients and the community.

Desirable Criteria:

* Previous involvement in the Community Legal Sector and knowledge of the Action Step database preferred.
* Demonstrated networking ability
