The opportunity:
As Senior Ecologist & Team Coach, you will:
Coach, mentor and support a small team of environmental scientists to deliver high‑quality ecological reports on time and within budget.
Provide technical expertise in flora, fauna and natural values, applying relevant legislation with authority.
Lead projects, ensuring accuracy, professionalism and client satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities and preparing competitive fee proposals.
Play an active role supporting strategy, culture and workplace values.
About you
You are a senior professional with:
5+ years' experience in ecological consultancy or environmental assessments.
Strong leadership presence with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
Proven project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Demonstrated knowledge of Tasmanian planning schemes, environmental legislation and assessment processes (or the ability to acquire this quickly).
A strategic mindset and business acumen, with the ability to grow and strengthen client relationships.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or related disciplines.
