The Opportunity –Novaskill is currently partnered with a local business to offer a Warehousing Traineeship, including on-the-job training with ongoing mentoring and support to help you start building your career.We’re looking for those looking to start their career!You’ll be completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations whilst gaining experience & developing relationships in the Warehousing Industry.Learnings –Move and relocate materials safelyAssess the risks involved with relocating loadsPlan and relocate materials and goods without damageUnderstand the chain of responsibilityEnsure transport activities are completed safely Complete safety documentationQualifications & Experience –Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment preferredHigh attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritise workload to meet competing deadlinesPunctual, reliable, professional and courteousGood physical fitness with the ability to assist loading and unloading goods within safety guidelinesBasic computer skills across Google Workspace and Excel preferred but not essentialCurrent Drivers LicenceCurrent White Card or willingness to obtainCurrent Forklift Licence or Willingness to obtainTasks & Responsibilities –Receiving and dispatch of goodsOrder picking and packingProject picking and packingAbility to work autonomouslyMaintain the warehouse and work area to ensure it is kept to a neat and tidy standard at all timesBook couriers and undertake site deliveriesEnsure all paperwork is completed correctlyAssist the Sales Team when requiredAssist the Service Team when requiredKey CuttingOutcomes –A nationally recognised qualification at Certificate III levelThe confidence to complete safety documentationTechniques to safely lift and handle goods or materialsExperience reading and following instructions and proceduresStrong pathways to continue your studies and enhance your career opportunitiesNovaskill is about enriching people’s lives and cultivating futures.
