*The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Measurement Scientist - Senior (Echocardiography) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
High level clinical practice in areas such as 2D echocardiography, stress echocardiography and transoephageal echocardiography
Apply professional judgement to the complex caseloads in cardiac clinical measurement specialties
Exercise independent professional decision making and judgement on day to day basis
Participate in departmental staff education programs and contribute to training and supervision of clinical practice of less experienced staff
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Possession of a tertiary degree qualification in science in a relevant discipline with a strong component of human anatomy and physiology focusing on cardiac
Possession of an approved graduate diploma in cardiac/echocardiography, Diploma in Medical Ultrasound, Queensland University of Technology diploma, Central Queensland University Graduate Diploma in Echocardiography or equivalent
Registration or the eligibility for registration with the Australian Sonography Accreditation Registry
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

The Clinical Measurements Unit (Cardiac) offers a wide range of cardiac diagnostic services including echocardiography, exercise stress echocardiography, dobutamine stress echocardiography, pacemaker/implantable cardioverter defibrillator interrogation and programming, cardiac electrophysiology studies, cardiac catheterisation monitoring, exercise stress testing, electrocardiograms, tilt tables testing, Ambulatory Blood Pressure monitoring, Holter and event monitoring
