The Role This is more than an operational GM role — it’s a leadership opportunity for someone who’s already known and respected within Australian horticulture, especially in vegetables or seedlings. You’ll drive growth, deepen customer engagement, and be the face of the business across Queensland. With full commercial and operational control, you’ll lead a team of functional managers across production, sales, technical and growing. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll oversee strategy delivery, P&L performance, and industry visibility — ensuring the QLD business thrives and scales in step with national targets. Key Responsibilities: Own and lead all QLD operations and strategic execution Manage financial performance, sales growth, and team capability Strengthen grower relationships and represent the business at forums and events Oversee high-performing site operations, driving quality and delivery Lead four direct reports across functional areas with a culture of accountability Influence business decisions as a key member of the national leadership team About You You’re already visible and respected within the horticultural sector – someone who growers trust, competitors recognise, and the industry listens to. You bring strong leadership and commercial thinking, backed by technical understanding and an eye for operational excellence. We’re looking for: A well-connected horticulture leader with 5 years in senior executive roles Proven P&L, ops, and sales leadership – ideally in vegetable or seedling production Deep knowledge of QLD growing systems, regions, and supply chains Someone who brings commercial strategy and on-ground credibility Confident in boardroom settings and at grower forums The Benefits: This is a defining leadership role in a respected, future-focused agribusiness.
