You will have a chance to make a real difference to your local communities and to the lives of those you work with.About The RoleThe Communication Partner Program facilitates the provision of expert and impartial advice to courts and the Mental Impairment Review Tribunal with the objective of supporting accused and supervised persons with communication difficulties during criminal and civil matters.This is a relatively new program providing opportunity for a creative manager to:Provide leadership, professional supervision and development of staff in the management of delivering culturally appropriate services relevant to mentally impaired and an often-vulnerable client group.Lead and manage a service or team working with vulnerable clients, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.Use their highly developed knowledge and skills in undertaking assessments, analytical and decision-making, and written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.EligibilitySpecial Conditions - Applicants must have an accredited tertiary qualification in one of the following areas:Accredited qualification in Psychology and eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers or the Society of Professional Social Workers;Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia;Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and full membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA);Or another relevant field.Permanent positions – To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.WWC positions – In accordance with the National Child Safety Principles, people who work directly with children and young people, you must have a current Working with Children Check or be able to successfully apply for one to be eligible for appointment to this position.Benefits And OpportunitiesFlexible working arrangementsLearning and development opportunity programsHealth and wellbeing programsCheck out the attached Applicant Information Pack to find out other benefits of working for Justice.Application processHow To ApplyPlease ensure you review the attached Job Description Form (JDF) for further information about the requirements of the position.
