About the Role
We are currently expanding our Residential Youth Support Worker team and will be recruiting in the Greater Hobart Area. This will be a great position for someone that wants to make a change in Children and Young Person's lives.
A genuinely rewarding Permanent Part-Time or Casual role, with most time spent in the house or participating in recreational activities. You will be working directly with children and young people; The positions are based in a 24/7 Residential Setting with fortnightly rotating shift rosters.
Suitable applicants will be asked to attend an Information Session and Interview, held in-person, on Monday 16th February 2026.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day to day care, supervision and transport to children and young people
* Actively participate in activities and increase competencies of young people
* Form and maintain professional, nurturing relationships
* Develop, implement and monitor individual plans
* Actively support the child/young person to develop and maintain social skills
* Maintenance of progress notes and report writing
Skills & Experience
* Certificate 4 in Community Services, Youth Work, Mental Health, or similar is preferred
* A current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to complete prior to commencement
* A current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence
* Ability to work various shifts (sleepover & active nights) throughout the week
* Prior knowledge and/or experience working with children or young people
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Vulnerable People check
