Job Overview

We are expanding our Sales team and are looking for a dedicated, customer-focused individual with experience in retail, sales or operational management in the building and construction field.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultancy and solutions to clients during the selection process and offer quotations.
• Process all option and selection forms and related paperwork.
• Interpret contracts, building and fixture schedules and architectural plans.
• Facilitate margin control and order acceptance ensuring accurate take‐off.
• Prepare periodic sales activity reports related to selections.
• Organise and maintain selection samples, displays, literature, brochures, specifications and signage.
• Keep contacts with supplier representatives to keep product displays up to date.
• Improve work practices and procedures to benefit client outcomes and internal efficiencies.
• Understand client needs and strive to meet or exceed them.
• Maintain highly developed presentation and communication skills, strong customer focus, and an ability to work in a fast‐paced environment.
• Prioritise jobs, anticipate changing customer needs, and work under pressure.
• Facilitate and orchestrate resources cross‐functionally to support sales efforts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, sales or operational management within the building and construction field.
• Proven initiative, ability to remain focused under pressure, track record of achieving team and company targets.
• Strong customer service focus and confidence dealing with consumers, builders and plumbers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High throughput and responsiveness.
• Structured work approach and impeccable attention to detail.
• Driven and positive work attitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; experience with Microsoft Great Plains desirable.
