The Grounds is growing and this year is going to be BIG With new venues on the horizon we have so many great opportunities for creative, passionate Pastry Chefs across all of our venues including our production kitchen.
As a Pastry Chef at The Grounds, you will play a vital role in creating the amazing desserts and baked goods that our customers love
We have part time & full time roles available.
What you'll be doing
* Preparing a wide range of high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts
* Working in one of our a la carte restaurants with an amazing team of chefs or working in our production kitchen.
* Ensuring all baked goods meet strict quality and presentation standards
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient work environment
* Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or experience in a production kitchen. Viennoiserie experience highly regarded.
* Certificate III in Pastry or equivalent
* 1-2 years demonstrated experience in similar settings
* Strong technical skills in pastry and dessert making, with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
* Knowledge of the latest trends and techniques
* Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen
* A passion for using fresh, seasonal, and high-quality ingredients
* Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
* A positive, enthusiastic, and customer-focused attitude
* Flexibility to work across days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
