Tell me about this role:
We are currently looking for a security cleared (NV1 or higher) Configuration Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This Above the Line role will provide leadership in establishing, maintaining, and auditing configuration baselines, ensuring compliance with Defence standards and enabling traceability across complex systems.
You will work closely with engineering, project management, and commercial teams to embed configuration control across the capability lifecycle. The role requires strong technical knowledge, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to operate independently in high‐pressure Defence environments.

What will I be doing day to day?
* Work with a wide range of stakeholders and build meaningful and lasting professional relationships
* Conduct a range of technical activities on various high frequency & surveillance projects
* Provide expert advice on configuration management across the team
* Work on a wide range of documentation including reports, support plans and user requirements
What sort of skills do I need?
* 8+ years' experience in configuration management or engineering roles within Defence or complex government environments
* Degree in engineering, systems management, or a related discipline; or equivalent Defence industry experience
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain configuration baselines across multiple projects
* Proficiency in configuration management tools and databases (e.g., CMDBs, LSAR systems, or Defence‐specific tools)
* Strong communication skills, process orientated with good attention to detail
* Australian citizenship, minimum NV1 security clearance, ITAR compliant
