Founded in 1980, Christian College Geelong is a K-12 school where academic achievement is balanced with care and concern for each student’s character development and wellbeing, grounded in the Christian faith. We have five campuses across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast region as well as a rural experience for Year 9 students at an expansive farm property in Scotsburn, near Ballarat, and a unique Art, Technology and Design campus for Senior School students in Waurn Ponds.

About the Role

Employment Start Date - Immediate start
FTE/Time Fraction – 1.0 FTE (38 hours per week)
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Bookkeeper plays a key role in supporting the College’s financial operations by ensuring accurate day‑to‑day bookkeeping, reconciliations and compliance across multiple entities. This role works closely with finance and school stakeholders to deliver timely, reliable financial information, maintain strong financial controls, and support effective decision‑making in a busy education environment.

What you bring
We are seeking a candidate who brings:
* Proven experience in bookkeeping or finance support functions, with strong administrative capability
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping (or equivalent), or demonstrated equivalent experience
* Experience working in a school environment (including use of Synergetic and/or Alii software) is desirable
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
* Well‑developed communication skills, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities
