Litton Andrews – providing a Total Medical/Healthcare Recruitment and Consultancy Service with the best staffing, practice and business solutions.
Our client, an established surgical specialist practice located in Spring Hill is actively seeking to expand their team and recruit a Medical Receptionist/Secretary. Working closely alongside the other members of the medical administration team, the focus of this position will be to provide an efficient and seamless service to patients visiting the practice.
This position is available on a permanent, full-time basis – Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week. Experience working within a similar private specialist environment will be essential.
Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

* Welcoming patients who are visiting the practice for consultations
* Coordinate all aspects of patient appointments, including scheduling, cancellations, updates and rescheduling as needed
* Handle incoming phone calls and emails promptly, and manage outgoing communication with patients and medical professionals
* Process billing and issue receipts for patients’ consultations with the Orthopaedic surgeon
* Provide administrative support to the Doctors and team, including preparation of patient charts
* Support as needed with producing theatre quotes and preparing and booking theatre procedures alongside the Theatre Bookings Coordinator
In addition to the key duties and responsibilities, Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
* A strong understanding of the processes involved with running a clinic, particularly within a private specialist practice
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused and professional manner
* High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and time management in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency in using medical practice software, specifically Genie for practice management
* The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a small, close-knit team
* A proactive and adaptable attitude, with the capability to manage competing priorities
