About Lyka:

Lyka was founded in 2018 by Anna Podolsky, inspired by her dog, Lyka, who was suffering from chronic health issues despite being on “premium” kibble. Together with Gabriel Guedes (COO) and Dr. Matthew Muir (Integrative Veterinarian), they built Lyka from the ground up with one core belief: better food can radically improve a pet’s healthspan and quality of life .

Lyka’s meals are vet-formulated and gently cooked from real food ingredients. Delivered via a flexible subscription model, Lyka meals have driven remarkable improvements for tens of thousands of customers, supporting gut health, reducing intolerances, improving energy and mobility, and even promoting hair growth.

What began as home-cooked meals has since scaled into one of Australia’s fastest-growing consumer companies, a vertically integrated, tech-enabled brand that is transforming pet health nationwide.

Lyka now operates from two offices, Sydney (HQ) and Melbourne, with three state-of-the-art food production facilities (two in Sydney, one in Melbourne) and a growing national footprint.

With strong product-market fit, deep customer love, and a track record of rapid growth, we’re now entering our most ambitious chapter yet: building a generational brand and category-defining business with global impact.

The Opportunity:

As Lyka’s CMO, your mission is to build a scalable, high-performance marketing function that delivers world-class execution, brand leadership, and sustainable growth.

You’ll take ownership of an 8-figure and rapidly growing market budget, and lead a multidisciplinary team of 20+ across Brand, Creative, Growth, Lifecycle, and (soon) Product Marketing. Your focus will be on orchestrating a system that drives measurable business outcomes —balancing near-term performance with long-term brand equity.Build Lyka into a ubiquitous and trusted household name. Spearhead the creation and growth of the new ‘real food for pets’ category, significantly increasing the percentage of pet parents feeding real food diets versus the kibble status quo.

* Drive aggressive acquisition and revenue targets, delivering on both top-line growth and budget goals. Own and optimise Lyka’s full funnel, from cold audience awareness to loyal, engaged customers
* Be directly responsible for a significant marketing budget. Apply commercial rigour across all marketing decisions, with focus on CAC, LTV, payback windows and channel attribution
* Lead Lyka’s market positioning, messaging, and narrative, ensuring it is consistently informed by market and customer insights. Embed a clear, compelling brand voice across all customer touchpoints and communications
* Drive deeply engaging, personalised journeys that drive acquisition, retention, reduce churn, and grow LTV through CRM, content, and customer education
* Lead Lyka’s in-house creative team to produce distinctive, high-performing, and brand-aligned creative assets that drive growth and engagement across all funnel stages
* Own the commercial ramp-up for Lyka’s new vertical brand
* Support Lyka’s strategic expansions, such as international expansion
* Build, coach, and inspire a best-in-class marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, data-driven decision making, and high performance
* Serve as a key member of the executive team, working closely with the CEO, COO/CFO, and other leaders on company-wide strategy, commercial planning, people strategy, and shaping Lyka’s culture

Requirements

* Proven marketing leader with 15+ years of experience, including senior/ executive leadership in high-growth B2C environments
* Demonstrated success in leading brands through aggressive growth phases at scale (>$’00Ms revenue), while maintaining brand integrity and customer love
* Expertise across performance marketing, brand, lifecycle, and creative—with experience managing multidisciplinary teams
* Strong data centricity and commercial acumen, able to work with complex and ambiguous data with a strong understanding of business growth levers including CAC and LTV, and experience with budgeting and forecasting
* Experience building customer-centric, storytelling-led brands that punch above their weight culturally, strongly tied to market and customer insights
* Deep experience owning digital funnels, ideally within a D2C or e-commerce context
* Comfortable operating strategically and tactically—can zoom out to shape strategy and zoom in to problem-solve with teams
* Thrives in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, energised by building
* Track record of hiring, coaching, and retaining high-performing talent
* Previous experience working with founders is a plus
* Passionate about Lyka’s mission to improve the healthspan of pets, with a deep personal connection to our vision of changing the status quo for pet wellness
