We are seeking an experienced sales leader to join our team as a State Sales Manager in South Australia. In this key role, you will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of Territory Managers across metropolitan and regional areas.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, with experience in managing state revenue targets, customer growth, and execution of sales strategies. They will also possess strong commercial acumen, with a focus on revenue, margin, and strategic account growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, coach and support a team of Territory Managers to deliver sales targets and drive customer retention
* Manage state profit and loss, including forecasting, reporting and profitability
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers across various industries
* Support the team in major account negotiations and tenders
* Drive new business acquisition and margin improvement initiatives
* Partner cross-functionally with operations, quoting, customer service and procurement teams
About You:
* Essential: Prior experience in a senior BDM or sales leadership role
* Essential: Sales experience in commercial hospitality OR foodservice
* Demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing sales teams
* Strong commercial acumen with a focus on revenue, margin, and strategic account growth
* Ability to build trust with both internal teams and external clients
