About the role
SBB Partners is seeking an experienced Manager or Senior Accountant to join their growing team in Mackay. This is a full-time position that will see you play a pivotal role in providing high-quality accounting and advisory services to our diverse range of clients. What you'll be doing
* Supporting or managing a portfolio of clients, providing strategic advice and support
* Overseeing the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other accounting reports
* Collaborating with clients to identify opportunities for growth and improved financial performance
* Supervising and mentoring junior members of the accounting team
* Participating in the ongoing development and implementation of firm-wide processes and procedures
What we're looking for
* 7+ years of experience in a senior accounting or advisory role, preferably in a public practice environment
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, such as a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Membership of a professional accounting body (e.g. CPA Australia, CA ANZ)
* Strong technical accounting skills and a comprehensive understanding of Australian accounting standards and taxation legislation
* Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality outcomes
* Experience with cloud-based accounting software solutions
* A commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with industry changes
