Do you enjoy turning data into practical improvements that keep operations running smoothly? We're looking for a Logistics Business Analyst who values accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement.

This hands‐on role plays a key part in driving safe, efficient and cost‐effective decision making across our national supply chain.

About the role

Join Sugar Australia as a Logistics Business Analyst based at our Yarraville VIC site. This is a permanent full‐time role suited to someone with experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, inventory control, financial reporting and cost management.

Reporting to the National Logistics, Procurement and Freight Manager, you will play a key role in analysing logistics, freight, warehousing and inventory data to drive operational excellence and support business growth.

You'll work closely with our Dispatch, Sales, Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance and Customer Service teams, as well as external 3PL providers, to support safety, efficiency, cost control, inventory accuracy and customer performance outcomes.

In this role, you'll help the business make better decisions by turning complex logistics, inventory and financial data into practical insights. Your work will directly support cost efficiency, service reliability, inventory accuracy and continuous improvement across our national supply chain.

What you'll be doing
* Analysing freight, warehousing and inventory data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
* Preparing financial and operational reports, including freight and warehouse cost analysis
* Supporting the development, monitoring and reporting of logistics and warehousing budgets
* Managing inventory reporting, reconciling stock variances and supporting 99% inventory accuracy across warehouses
* Monitoring and evaluating 3PL performance, including safety, cost, service and KPI compliance
* Coordinating and supporting stocktakes, cycle counts and inventory discrepancy investigations
* Preparing and delivering accurate monthly performance, inventory and cost reports using Excel and SAP
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, tenders and supply chain projects from scoping through to postimplementation review
* Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve issues, communicate insights and improve outcomes
What we're wanting you to bring to the table

We're looking for someone who is practical, analytical, collaborative and confident working across systems, data and stakeholders. You will bring:

* Tertiary qualifications in Business Management/Commerce, Supply Chain, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance or another relevant discipline highly desirable
* 5+ years' experience in a Supply chain / Logistics & Distribution function (Warehousing, Freight forwarding, transport, Planning etc)
* 3+ years' experience with inventory reporting and stock control, including reconciliation and variance management
* Experience with financial reporting and data analysis in a logistics or supply chain environment
* Advanced MS Office skills, particularly strong capability in Excel and PowerPoint
* Understanding and hands‐on experience using SAP or similar ERP systems
* Understanding of 3PL logistics, warehousing and transport operations
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data and insights clearly to different audiences
* A proactive, solutions focused approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
