**About the Role**
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to join BOQ Group in a newly created role!
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Performing advanced data analytics at scale while cleaning and transforming data
- Designing and building enterprise data models to analyse and derive insights from key business processes area across the bank
- Advising on data governance and configuration settings for Power BI administration when required
- Monitoring data usage
- Collaborating with other roles, such as Enterprise Architects, Cyber Security, Data / Platform Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, and Visualisation Specialists as required
**About you**
- **Extensive Data & Analytics experience**:
- 3+ years' experience in data / analytics role.
- Advanced Power BI skills, including managing dataset repositories in the cloud and on-premises
- Using SQL, Power Query and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) to clean and prepare data for Power BI
- Proficient in consuming and analysing data from Azure Databricks & Azure Synapse Analytics
- Proficiency in data modelling, user experience design, requirements analysis, and process analysis
- Visualising data
- **Extensive Power Platform experience**:
- Create and manage process automation using Microsoft Power Apps / Power Virtual Agents
- **Deep expertise in Technical Competency / Data Methodologies**:
- Proven skills in Data Modelling (Star Schemas)
- **Bachelor's Degree in Technology** - education with data related coursework or another equivalent field; an advanced degree in any of these, or related fields is preferred
- **A sound working knowledge of existing, new, and emerging Data trends** - and the benefits derived from these
- **Solid business acumen**:
- with ability to understand and anticipate business needs to provide appropriate Data Business Intelligence & Analytics guidance.
- **Excellent **stakeholder engagement skills** **-** **to build relationships at all levels.
- **A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business**:
- and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, organisational capabilities and enabling technologies
- **Robust analytical, problem solving and research skills**:
- to translate raw data into information and actionable insights

- both internally and externally

- to understand business concepts and translate them in to easily understood business intelligence format
