Voluntary Assisted Dying Practitioner - HNELHD
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate practitioner to join our team in providing end-of-life care to patients in the New England and Mid North Coast regions.
The role involves travel across rural and regional areas to support individuals seeking Voluntary Assisted Dying. The successful candidate will have completed or be prepared to undertake training to perform roles as a coordinating, consulting, and administering practitioner as outlined in the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Act.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing high-quality, patient-focused management and care to patients, families, and carers requesting or undertaking Voluntary Assisted Dying.
* Acting as a Coordinating, Consulting, and Administering practitioner with regular travel within HNELHD to provide services.
* Contributing to effective clinical management throughout the patient's care journey.
Requirements
* A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and fellowship.
* Demonstrated current experience in complex services impacting multiple departments and stakeholders.
* High-level skills in clinical care, supervision, mentoring, and teaching.
* Current driver's license.
