TRADE PARTS REPRESENTATIVE (Rural Focused)
Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for growing parts sales across Toowoomba, Gatton, Goondiwindi, Southern Downs, and Western Downs.
You'll work closely with transport operators, agricultural businesses, earthmoving contractors, local repairers, and fleet customers—positioning our dealership as their preferred supplier for parts supply, product knowledge, and ongoing support.
This role requires regular travel throughout the region and plays a key part in increasing our presence in the Darling Downs and rural communities.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Management
Develop and maintain a structured call cycle across the PMA.
Build strong visibility in rural areas to enhance trust and brand presence.
Stay aware of competitor activity and industry trends.
Sales Growth & Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across workshops, fleets, and rural operators.
Drive category growth including genuine parts, consumables, oils, filters, and paint/refinish products.
Promote trade campaigns, seasonal offers, and tailored customer solutions.
Customer Relationship Management
Build long-term partnerships through consistent communication and reliable service.
Respond to customer enquiries with accurate parts information, pricing, and order updates.
Strengthen customer loyalty with exceptional aftersales support and follow-up.
Technical & Product Support
Provide product knowledge and technical insight for heavy vehicle and equipment parts.
Work closely with internal parts and service teams to deliver seamless support.
Facilitate product updates, demonstrations, and training for rural clients.
Reporting
Submit monthly reports covering sales activity, customer feedback, and new opportunities.
Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to management.
Ensure all work aligns with dealer values, brand standards, and expectations.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience in trade sales, parts interpreting, or heavy vehicle/agricultural parts.
Strong understanding of commercial vehicle components.
Proven ability to manage a large regional territory and work independently.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong sales mindset with a focus on identifying and converting opportunities.
Valid driver's licence.
Paint and Refinish industry experience would be considered an advantage.
