One of the drivers “Thriving place to Study and Work” will enable us to continue to create places that our students and staff love to belong and feel immense pride.The OpportunityThe overall purpose of the Finance Officer, Operational Accounting is to provide business stakeholders from across the University, with the necessary transactional support and advice to meet their day-to-day financial requirements.Some Of Your Responsibilities Will IncludeProvide professional customer service to our internal stakeholders requiring transactional support and advice within pre-determined service standards.Make decisions concerning clients regarding their day-to-day transactions and other financial records management, providing accurate, up to date and comprehensive information or referral.Provide a range of services supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including but not limited to the creation of new suppliers/debtors, raising invoices, student payments and refunds.Preparation and uploading of journals and accruals with appropriate records retained for ledger integrity and month-end requirements.Working proactively as part of a team and sharing work and responsibilities with fellow Finance Officers and supporting the Financial Control function to ensure requests are addressed within appropriate deadlines.About YouOur ideal candidate is someone who can provide professional customer service and be the point of contact for business stakeholders.
