Your Future with ATCO Structures & Logistics
ATCO Structures & Logistics is a global leader in modular building solutions, delivering high-quality, flexible infrastructure across mining, construction, community, and remote industries. We don’t just build buildings—we create adaptable, durable environments that support our clients and communities.
Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Construction Operations Supervisor to take charge of our Townsville branch operations. This is a key leadership role focused on overseeing site execution, modular hire yard performance, subcontractor coordination, and operational delivery—while driving safety, quality, and financial outcomes.
This is a hands-on, Townsville based role with plenty of variety, responsibility, and autonomy. You’ll be managing a tight-knit, experienced team, driving quality outcomes across multiple local projects, and working directly with a broad range of clients—from mining and construction to community infrastructure.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can take ownership, make decisions, and lead by example, this could be your next big move.
What You’ll Do:
Manage all modular building site installation and yard activities across the Townsville branch.
Coordinate scopes of work, estimates, and execution planning for standard and custom modular solutions.
Supervise internal teams and subcontractors across multiple trades (crane, plumbing, carpentry, steel fabrication, etc.).
Oversee quality, safety, scheduling, and cost control across over 600 modular assets.
Work with the engineering and design teams to prepare and deliver projects with technical precision.
Serve as the key link between the branch, clients, subcontractors, and ATCO’s internal teams.
Support fleet maintenance, repair, and readiness of hire buildings to ensure quality standards and lifecycle performance.
Contribute to financial and operational success through effective coordination, forecasting, and reporting.
What You’ll Bring:
Experience in modular or residential construction, preferably as a Project Manager or Site Supervisor.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or installations.
Strong knowledge of contractor management, estimating, and scope development.
Solid construction understanding—someone who can speak the builder’s language and see around corners.
Ideally a Certificate IV in Building and Construction (or working towards it).
Excellent communication and leadership skills—you know how to lead a team and keep things moving.
Confidence to work independently while building trusted relationships with subbies, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Why Join ATCO?
Autonomy & Ownership: This isn’t micromanagement territory. You’ll be trusted to lead and drive outcomes.
Variety in Work: From high-tech labs to civil infrastructure, your day-to-day will never be boring.
Strong Culture: You’ll join a respected, down-to-earth, fun team that values relationships, safety, and quality delivery.
