Full-time Medical Receptionist required for a specialist orthopaedic shoulder surgeon in St Leonards with occasional travel to a secondary location at Moore Park. The position is Monday to Friday.
Minimum 6-12 months experience in medical reception or healthcare administration preferred, or equivalent customer service experience in a professional environment.
The successful candidate would need to be a fast learner/fast worker and provide an outstanding level of customer service to the clinics patients and doctor.
A high level of care and confidentiality will be required along with excellent communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy with data entry and the ability to prioritise work tasks is also essential.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices would be advantageous.
The role involves meeting and welcoming patients, answering phone calls and responding to emails, making/confirming appointments (Gentu software), invoicing and receipting, checking correspondence, filing, and all reception duties along with assisting the doctor and Practice Manager in additional tasks.
