About St Mark's Anglican Community School

Located in Hillarys, Western Australia, St Mark's Anglican Community School is a co-educational Kindergarten‐to‐Year‐12 school with more than 1,900 students. In 2026, the School proudly celebrates its 40th Anniversary.

Established in 1986 as the founding AngliSchool, St Mark's has built a strong reputation for sustained excellence in teaching and learning, pastoral care, and community engagement. The School's values and Anglican Identity are embedded throughout all aspects of school life and shape a welcoming, purposeful and aspirational learning environment in which to grow good people.

The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity for a strategic and relational principal to guide St Mark's Anglican Community School into its next chapter of leadership and innovation.

The Principal is responsible to the AngliSchools CEO and School Council for the leadership, strategic direction, and overall performance of the School.

This is a significant leadership opportunity to build on St Mark's strong foundations, while continuing to strengthen its reputation for educational excellence, student wellbeing, and faith‐based community.

Primary Responsibilities
* Drive Mission – maintain and promote the School's values‐based culture, grounded in its Anglican Identity, by upholding the core values of AngliSchools – Faith, Inclusion, Respect and Excellence.
* Strategic Thinker – systematically drive the School's long‐term financial sustainability and growth.
* Leadership – an authentic leader who demonstrates a strong leadership presence in and around the school, seeking to continuously develop, challenge and change practices and procedures when needed.
* Staff Growth and Development – build a positive staff culture by leading the development of each staff member as they grow professionally at the School, creating a sense of belonging for all.
Other Relevant Responsibilities
* Nurture meaningful relationships with students, staff, families and the broader community.
* Ensure strong governance, financial management, and compliance with all statutory requirements.
* Represent the School as an ambassador of AngliSchools and Anglican education by being a visible leader within the region.
* Identify and implement strategic opportunities to enhance all aspects of the School.
* Promote inclusive, positive, collaborative and supportive relationships across the School community.
* Work collaboratively with the School Council to manage risk, including Work Health and Safety (WHS).
* Maintain open and regular communication with families, alumni, AngliSchools and other stakeholders.
* Protect and enhance the School's reputation.
* Actively participate in professional bodies that promote the interests of the School.
* Lead the retention and growth of student enrolments.
* Oversee the day‐to‐day management of the School, ensuring sound financial stewardship in line with approved budgets and Ten‐Year Business Plans.
