Security Officer Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Officer to join our team. This is a critical role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a visible presence to promote a sense of safety and security among residents and visitors.
* Operate wireless communications equipment to ensure effective communication between Security Officers and office staff.
* Monitor video surveillance feeds to prevent and respond to potential security threats.
* Patrol hallways, buildings, and parking lots to ensure adequate lighting and secure resident vehicles.
* Ensure all doors are secured and locked in the evening to prevent unauthorized access.
* Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies, providing support and assistance as needed.
* Maintain confidentiality of resident and community information at all times.
* In emergency situations, assist local emergency personnel as needed to ensure a swift and effective response.
Requirements & Qualifications:
* Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* Pass State and Company criminal background/drug screens to ensure a clean record.
* Demonstrate effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of legal requirements for security guard positions is required to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Make sound judgment decisions within established policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
* Ability to remain calm and confident under pressure to effectively manage emergency situations.
