This role offers experience in Cardiac Imaging and General Cardiology in a regional centre across the public and private sectors.
The responsibilities include general cardiology (acute, inpatient, outpatient), high-volume echocardiography (TTE, exercise stress echo, dobutamine stress echo, TOE, contrast echo). The service handles over 5000 echo services annually, including over 500 stress echoes, providing opportunities to develop TOE and stress echo skills to CSANZ standards. Exposure to CTCA through Australia's only cardiology-run national CTCA service is also available, with progression towards Level A ANZCTCA certification and participation in case review meetings.

This position is suitable for a post-FRACP cardiologist seeking further training in cardiac imaging or eligible overseas-trained cardiologists seeking Australian healthcare system experience or supervised practice as per RACP standards.
Prerequisite:
Completion of General Cardiology Training and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or assessment by the RACP as substantially comparable for overseas-trained cardiologists.
