Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Adelaide, SA, for an Electronics Technician specialising in optics. The role involves assembling, soldering, and testing electronic components, conducting troubleshooting and repairs, and ensuring the maintenance and functionality of optical and electromechanical systems. The Electronics Technician will also play an integral role in supporting engineering teams with technical expertise and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
The role requires the following experience and skills:
* Certificate III in Engineering – Electrical/Electronic of higher.
* Experience in fault localisation in electronic circuits and devices
* Knowledge and experience with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/IPC-7722).
* Strong hand skills and high attention to detail
* Ability to read and follow technical instructions or drawings
* Experience in Electro Optical and/or Infrared systems highly regarded
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail
* Ability to handle small and delicate parts
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
