Key Role in Lithium Processing
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Plant Metallurgist. This is a key role in the lithium processing operation, requiring a strong understanding of metallurgical principles and practices.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring concentrate production and associated processing unit operations are controlled in a cost-effective and efficient manner. This includes reviewing and analyzing past production performance, comparing it to budgeted and forecasted specifications, and providing suggested improvement options.
* Demonstrate stewardship in health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure site, corporate, and legislative requirements are met
* Generate and maintain daily and weekly metallurgical production reports to ensure targets are met and identify improvement opportunities
* Provide technical knowledge, training, and mentoring for graduate metallurgists, process technicians, and other team members
* Carry out plant surveys and mass balances to maintain and improve plant performance
* Conducted laboratory trials and generated associated test work reports to evaluate production improvement opportunities
Required Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with a degree qualification in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering. Prior experience in heavy media separation and flotation is desirable. The ideal candidate will also have experience in management and implementation of continuous improvement projects.
