Perioperative Services Manager
About the Role:
This position presents a unique chance to lead and manage our eleven operating theatres, day surgery intake, recovery, and central sterilising department.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Clinical Services in the strategic development of surgical services, including stakeholder management to enhance partnerships, drive growth, and improve service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management of our eleven operating theatres, day surgery intake, recovery, and central sterilising department
* Collaboration with the hospital executive team and all stakeholders to achieve excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements
* Strategic development of surgical services, including stakeholder management to enhance partnerships, drive growth, and improve service offerings
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
* Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience within an acute hospital setting, preferably perioperative
* Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and motivate a clinical services team providing strategic direction & positive leadership
* Knowledge and understanding of contemporary clinical risk management strategies that are effective in promoting and ensuring the highest quality of patient care
* Able to lead through a continuous improvement model to achieve high quality patient outcomes
* Sound Computer skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
* ADCS or NUM (or equivalent) experience is highly desirable
* Post-graduate studies in an appropriate speciality or management qualifications will be highly regarded
