We're looking for an experienced logistics and warehouse manager to take our Melbourne dispatch operation to the next level.
If you love servicing customers, leading a team of efficient drivers and identify areas for growth and improvement then we want to hear from you. This is a rare chance to work with a third-generation family-run organic dairy — where everything is made on the farm and delivered throughout Melbourne. You'll help support our loyal customers with deliveries on time and in full 5 days a week with a focus on customer service, efficiencies and opportunities for growth.

Schulz Organic Dairy is a family owned and operated vertically integrated business - farming, producing and delivering award winning dairy products direct to cafes, restaurants and retailers throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria. We're passionate about regenerative agriculture, sustainability, and transparent food systems.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure daily delivery runs are managed efficiently.
* Manage route optimisation across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
* Coordinate receivals of raw packaging, finished product and required backload transits
* Oversee maintenance scheduling of warehousing equipment and vehicles
* Maintain and implement standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security operations.
* Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements, ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
* Assist in updating optimal operational policies and procedures, ensuring safety of drivers and staff.
* Manage a team of 9 staff, permanent and casual.
* Recruit, select, orient, coach, motivate and discipline employees.
* Continuously review operations for improvement in efficiencies and KPI's
* Report and record on data through internal systems
* Communicate and coordinate activities with internal departments.
* Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision.
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
* Manage stock control and reconcile with SOD warehouse operating system.
* Assign workloads to drivers.
* Maintaining awareness and knowledge of condition and location of fleet vehicles.
* Assisting with deliveries where required.
* Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods.
* Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee's performance.
We're Looking for Someone Who Can:
Lead a team to deliver product on time and in full, with excellent customer service
Be hands on in the day-to-day operations
Analyse data and identify areas for growth and improvement
Ensure high standard of safe operating procedures
Excellent communication skills in reporting
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Forklift licence
* Ability to lift 20kg
* Competency across Microsoft programs, phone applications and general IT
* Proven leadership skills in team management
Bonus (but not essential)
* Cold chain experience
* Business to Business customer facing experience
* LR licence
