Relocation Support
* Intrastate (over 100 km) – up to $2,500
* Interstate – up to $5,000
* Overseas – up to $8,000
* Accommodation support: up to $350 per week for up to 10 weeks; or 10 weeks interim GVH accommodation (if available)
Recruitment Bonus
This role is eligible for an Allied Health recruitment bonus between $2,500 and $5,000. The bonus will be paid on completion of a successful six‑month probationary period and applies to new employees at GV Health only.
About the Role
Join the GV Health Rural Allied Health Team (RAHT) – a supportive workplace culture where you will work alongside experienced Allied Health Professionals. In this role you will work autonomously, undertake a varied and diverse workload and provide interventions in predominantly home‑based settings, making a true difference to clients' independence and well‑being.
There is no nursing home work.
* Travel across the Goulburn Valley region working in home and clinic settings
* Work with clients, carers and families to provide practical solutions to promote independence and safety at home
* Provide specialist intervention to clients with dysphagia and complex communication disorders
* Advise on appropriate communication aids and devices
* Develop goals and care plans to assist consumers to remain at home and active in their local community
* Work with a diverse range of consumers and health conditions
* Participate in student training programs
* Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or equivalent
* Member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and participating in the SPA professional self‑regulation program
* Knowledge and experience in the delivery of Speech Pathology services within home and community‑based settings
* Knowledge of the service system and ability to liaise and advocate across the full spectrum of health and community care
* Experience in the management of adult clients presenting with dysphagia
* Application must include responses to the key selection criteria, a copy of qualification certificate and SPA membership
